We built Gitbackups because we needed it ourselves.
After experiencing the frustration of losing access to critical repositories — whether from accidental deletions, compromised accounts, or simply wanting an independent copy of our work — we realized there had to be a better way. Existing solutions were either too complex, too expensive, or required too much manual effort. We wanted something simple: connect your GitHub, set a schedule, and sleep peacefully.
